- GCSEs to include a Grade 5 or above in Mathematics
- Students should have a general interest in mathematics but may lack the confidence to progress it to A Level
- This course explores the applications of mathematics in ‘real life’ contexts
- This is a one year course with two written exams at the end of the year.
Level 3 Mathematical Studies is a qualification designed for student who have achieved a Grade 5 or above at GCSE. It helps to develop students’ mathematical skills and thinking and supports courses such as A-level Psychology, Sciences and Geography, as well as technical and vocational qualifications. The course covers a number of topic areas, including estimation, probabilities and statistics.
