Mayor takes a trip down memory lane at Barton Peveril
The Mayor of Eastleigh, Cllr John Caldwell, took a trip down memory lane in the company of three Barton Peveril principals when he attended The Great Comeback, an informal reunion staged as part of the college's week-long Arts Festival.
Cllr Caldwell reminisced with former principals Dr Peter Happé (1980-1989) and Godfrey Glyn (1996 - 2008) and learned more about the present day college from current principal Jonathan Prest. He also toured the annual art exhibition and was entertained by some of the college's award-winning musicians.
All money raised from the event was donated to the Hannah Memorial Academy, a primary school for underprivileged children in a remote part of India established as a memorial to former student, Hannah Foster.
The attached photograph shows Cllr Caldwell with (L to R) Barton Peveril's current principal Jonathan Prest and former principals Godfrey Glyn and Dr Peter Happé.
