Infectious enthusiasm

Four generations of Barton Peveril sociologists found themselves in the same classroom recently when former A-star student, Jodie Lindsay-Watson, returned to her old sixth form college to observe lessons.

Jodie is currently in her second year of studying for a degree in Sociology and Journalism at Cardiff University and hopes to teach Sociology.

Back in the classroom at Barton Peveril, Jodie met up with her former teacher and Head of Sociology, Alex Baker, and another of Alex’s former students at the college, Clare Sadler, who also teaches in the Sociology department.

As well as observing several A-level lessons, Jodie shared her experiences and ambitions with current students, many of whom have been offered places to study Sociology at universities including Bath, Warwick, Surrey and Bristol.
