Cycling & Other Transport

Pedal power

We provide cycle bays free of charge for students wishing to cycle to college. These bays are monitored by CCTV but bicycles are left at the students’ own risk and must be secured at all times.

Mopeds and motorcycles

We have 50 bays for parking mopeds or motorcycles at a cost of £10 per academic year. Application forms are available from the college’s Transport Office.

Driving to Barton Peveril

If you do not live on one of the college bus routes and are thinking about driving to college you should be aware that we have no on-site parking for students. Parking restrictions are in operation on roads adjacent to the college campus but you may be eligible for a permit entitling you to use a car park five minutes’ walk from the main college entrance in Chestnut Avenue.

Trains

Barton Peveril is served by good rail links via Southampton Airport Parkway and Eastleigh railway stations, both of which are a 15 minute walk away. Students are responsible for making their own arrangements for train travel.
